New February menu and Valentines Special
We're getting ready for re-opening after our January hibernation. Doors open on 3 February, our new February menu is now online as is our very tempting and delicious Valentine's Day menu. As usual menus offer quality dining and great value!

New AA Award.
Mountview Restaurant and Hotel came up for review in August this year and we were very pleased to be awarded 2 AA rosettes for the quality of our food for the sixth year running. Chefs Phil Barrett and Ettienne Els were delighted to receive this confirmation of their cooking skills. The inspector commented, ‘All meals taken showed good quality produce prepared and presented with care ... meals prepared with skill and flair’.
We know that a good meal is more than just great food, great service is important too and the inspector particularly noted that ‘hospitality was very good from all members of staff ... all were genuinely welcoming and efficient.’

Taste of Nethy – Balliefurth Farm Platter
Only available at The Mountview Restaurant - A premium meat feast of deliciously prepared local beef and lamb born and reared on the grass pastures of Balliefurth farm and cooked to perfection.
Savour a dish of pan-fried lamb cutlet and kidneys, roasted medallions of beef loin, 4oz pan-fried rump steak and local beef sausage. All served with whole garlic mushroom, roasted tomatoes and whole roasted baby new potatoes. Accompaniments include béarnaise sauce, warm red onion marmalade and traditional Dijon mustard.Available Friday —Sunday

One Dish Dining— Food to Share
Enjoy a shared sociable meal at a very affordable price. One main dish with plenty to eat and share between friends and family. This month our sharing dish is Mountview lasagne, made with Balliefurth mince and wild mushrooms and served with homemade Mountview garlic bread and fresh garden salad. Priced at only £24.95 for a table of 4 or £13.95 for a table of two. Great value dining that works out at only £6.25 per person for a main course (based on a table of four). Starters and puddings are always available from our main menu.
